Story
Maranatha is expanding our work at the Kimogoro Adventist Boarding Primary School in Kenya–and we need your help. Â
In 2019, Kimogoro’s buildings were unstable, with dirt floors and hole-ridden walls and roofs. Maranatha’s transformation of the school began with a water well. Next came hundreds of volunteers, constructing nine classrooms, a kitchen and dining hall, girls and boys dormitories, a large church building, and three bathroom blocks. Enrollment jumped from 230 to 384 students. For #GivingTuesday 2025, we asked you to make a gift for Kimogoro, and you delivered! Thanks to a generous donor, your gifts were matched up to $125,000, helping us reach our $250,000 goal. Now we’re working to finish three more classrooms, an administrative block, and landscaping.Â

In response to recent requests from the Adventist Church in Kenya, Maranatha is raising money to add staff housing to our Kimogoro to-do list. This project will allow the school to attract talented teachers with quality accommodations on campus. We have agreed to start with one four-apartment building. The budget for this project is $200,000. Ultimately, Kimogoro needs three of these projects. Maranatha would love to fulfill this request, but we need more funding to make it happen.Â
Thank you for helping us transform the learning and living environment for Kimogoro students. Will you help us do the same for the teachers? Any gift–no matter the size– is welcome and will have a pivotal impact on the long-term success of the school.
